I have shown dogs since 1992 both in obedience and conformation. I have placed three CD's,
a CDX, a draft title and an RN on three Bernese Mountain Dogs
during that time. All three were nationally ranked among Bernese when they obtained their titles and placed multiple times in all breed shows. My current Bernese
is training for his RE, CDX and his draft titles after completing his Championship and CD.
My Pembroke Welsh Corgi has a CDX, a RAE and two HIT's and is training for her UD. My Golden Retriever will be competing in Obedience and Rally after she
has finished with her current litter.
All my dogs are active in Animal Assisted Therapy with Therapet and I serve as that foundation's Medical Director. I am also the Health Committee Chair for the
Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America and serve on the Grants Review Committee for the AKC Canine Health Foundation.

I began training and showing dogs in 1983 and fell in love with the sport. Since then I have put
over 30 Obedience and Rally titles on a variety of many breeds including 8 High In Trials (HIT'S) & 2 Dog World Awards.
In the Spring of 2008 my golden retriever, Aida, was inducted into the Texas Animal Hall of Fame by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association for her work in therapy.
I continue to enjoy showing in obedience, rally, and carting as often as I can with my Berner, Whisper (Nashems Dream a Little Dream RAE, CD, CGC, DD)
and my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Cheers (CH. Ca-Cambridge Run for the Roses RN, CGC). My newest dog in training is actually my oldest dog.
I am also training CH Tempo’s Rub a Dub Dub to a Rally and Novice Title. She is 8 years old and was given to my daughter for Junior Showmanship Competition.
I am also the Executive Director of the Therapet Foundation.
I love to watch my students train their dogs to become Therapets and work in hospitals and rehabilitation centers throughout East Texas.

I have been a professional dog trainer for 12 years. I have 120 accredited hour in each
animal behavior, learning theory and ethology. I train over 1500 dogs plus their owners per year. I am a CGC evaluator and a evaluator for Therapet.
My passion is helping owners prepare their dog to do animal assisted therapy. I have had two dogs in the Therapet program and I believe it is the most rewarding
activity you can do with your dog. I also enjoy problem solving with difficult animal behaviors and helping the owner learn to deal with these situations. I love cart
pulling with my rottie and swissie just for the simple relaxation of this activity.
I'm very proud to be a member of the Pads N Paws team as I know it will help me live out my passion of helping people and their pets.
