Puppy Kindergarten Class

This course, designed for puppies 5 months or under, teaches house manners, crate training, housebreaking, and basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay and walking on a loose leash. The class meets for 6 weeks and the cost is $65. Course is limited to 8 puppies.

Beginner Obedience Class

Dogs must be 4 months of age and have completed all shots before enrolling in this class. This 8 week class can also be for older dogs who have never attended a formal class. The course covers heeling, sit and sit stay with distractions, down and down stay with distractions, automatic sits, come when called, backing on command, stand stay, and confidence building exercises. The first day of class is orientation and we ask you not to bring your dog to that class.

Intermediate Class

This 8 week class covers the necessary skills to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. It also introduces the dogs to some medical equipment. Dogs continue to improve on their skills in heeling, stays, & recalls. On the 8th night, a certified AKC evaluator will offer the CGC test to the participants. A CGC certificate is available for all passing dogs. Dogs must have a CGC before taking the Therapet Skills Class.

Advanced Obedience Class

This 8 week class continues to work on heeling, sit & down stays, stands, recalls, as well as introduces finishes and other skills needed to begin showing your dog or improving their control. This is also an excellent class to use as a yearly refresher for your dog if it has already been trained.

Rally Classes

If you are interested in competing in Rally or are interested in improving your dogs responsiveness to commands, this class is for you! Rally allows you to praise your dog while you both maneuver through a series of commands. It is upbeat and fun and provides confidence to a young dog. It also helps dogs learn to follow commands quickly and accurately. Rally Classes are 1-1/2 hours do to the time it takes to set up courses to be run. Dogs must have been through the Intermediate Level class in order to register for Rally.
